Medway's very own Voice is set to headline this year's Love Music Hate Racism festival.
Jamie Johnson, who reached the final of the BBC One show, will return to the stage on the Saturday night.
He first performed at the festival in 2009, but this is the first time he has headlined the festival.
The 20-year-old singer from Gillingham said: "I've played Love Music Hate Racism for the last couple of years and first stood on the stage when I was 15 starting out in a grime group.
"To then just me and an acoustic guitar, to now headlining. It's such an amazing atmosphere."
Vince Maple, event compare and member of the organising committee, said: "It's brilliant news that we can welcome Jamie back to headline this year's Medway LMHR.
This years the festival is moving to Fort Amherst and takes place on June 7 and 8.
Young people looking for an opportunity to perform on the youth stage should get in contact with Roy Smith at roy.smith@medway.gov.uk.
The full line-up will be in the Messenger on Monday (June 2).
