Memorial for popular mum, Jade Glen, from Gillingham, at Woodlands Road park
00:01, 02 June 2014
More than a hundred people gathered in Gillingham to light up the sky for popular mum Jade Glen and her unborn baby.
The 22-year-old, who was eight months pregnant, was found dead at her parents' home last Monday. In a double tragedy, her unborn daughter - who she was going to name Dolly May - died with her.
Jade's friends and family gathered at the park in Woodlands Road at 7pm last night to light candles for her and Dolly.
Jade's sister Kara Glen lit a rocket, before the crowd released pink balloons and colourful paper fire lanterns into the sky. Many had messages written on them for Jade and Dolly.
The service ended with fireworks.
Jade had been discharged from hospital after eight days of treatment for a suspected blood clot.
She was found dead on the bathroom floor at her parents' home last Monday.
Her family think she had been brushing her teeth - the cold tap was still running and her toothbrush was next to her.
Her toddler son Mickey, aged 18 months, was with her at the time.
Her family are now awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination to find out exactly how Jade, who was due to give birth in July, died.
A Facebook page set up in Jade's memory has almost 4,000 likes. Her parents Floyd Glen and Trish Chart, along with Jade's boyfriend Michael Arnold, have been inundated with tributes and messages of support since her sudden death.
Speaking on Wednesday, boyfriend Michael said: "It has been a big shock. Everyone is devastated. Life was a roller-coaster with Jade but she was a big person with a big heart. Her death has cut me to pieces."
He added: "So many people have said so many nice things. It has been warming to read all the messages.
"She was very popular. She will always be loved and cherished."
