Luton Road, Chatham: Four men charged with breaking into property armed with bladed weapons

One man was hurt by a gang alleged to have broken into a property, some armed with bladed weapons, who then stole watches and phones.
The victim suffered a cut to his lip during the assault in Luton Road, Chatham, in the early hours of September 8, when two watches and mobile phones are said to have been taken.
Four men have now been charged with aggravated burglary.
Ion Vasile, of Boxley Road, Maidstone, was charged with the offence, and the 21-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on November 14.
Three others have previously been charged. Rogel Dumitru, 19, of Mayplace Road East, Bexleyheath, Dennis Calin, 20, of Albany Road, Chatham, and Robert Maytum, 35, of Great South Avenue, Chatham, were also charged with the same offence and remanded in custody but they will next appear at Woolwich Crown Court on October 23.
