Two men charged after police drugs haul in Chatham

Two men have appeared in court after police found more than 70 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin during a vehicle stop.
Police say officers made the haul after stopping a car and searching two men in New Road Avenue, Chatham, on Friday February 17.
Both men were arrested and a full search of the car uncovered more drugs, along with cash and a mobile phone.
Officers conducted a search at an address in Rochester where they found a cannabis cultivation along with further evidence of drug use and supply.
Cornelius Oliver, 34, of Temple Gardens, Rochester, has been charged with possession with intent to supply heroin, being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, possession of cannabis and acquiring criminal property.
Jake Stewart, 31, of Federation Road, Greater London, has been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and possession with intent to supply heroin.
Both men appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday February 20, where they were remanded to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 20 March.
