10:30, 17 March 2016
Starbucks it set to open its first stand-alone coffee shop in Medway next week.
The cafe is being built at Chatham Dockside in the unit beneath Tru Gym and next to Zippers, and a sign on the windows says they are hiring staff.
According to the shop’s Facebook page, it is due to start serving coffee on Thursday.
The shop will be open from 7am until 8pm, seven days a week.
Starbucks took over the Whistlestop shop at Chatham railway station last year.
When asked about the new shop, a spokesman said: “We don’t have any further information at the moment.”
The franchise at Dockside is owned by GK Coffee Group who also have Starbucks venues in Sittingbourne and Deal.
