Tickets to a festival held to mark Molly McLaren’s birthday have sold out.
The 23-year-old was killed by an ex-boyfriend in June last year. He was found guilty of murder in February.
The trial heard Joshua Stimpson, from Wouldham, stabbed 23-year-old Molly around 75 times in the car park of the Dockside Outlet in Chatham after their relationship came to an end.
Molly’s family and friends have set up The Molly McLaren foundation in her honour and have already raised more than £30,000 through a JustGiving page and several community events.
MollyFest is set to be the biggest yet, with 400 tickets sold in a week.
Performing at the Leather Bottle on May 26 will be Rumblefish, DJ Benny Atari and Hannah Nuttell.
Molly’s friend, Amy Lee said: “She was very passionate about music and we’ve got DJs and plenty of tequila to keep Molly happy up there.
“We’re not sure what out next event will be but we are hoping to hold Medway Moves for Molly again and make that an annual event.”
