Police are appealing for victims of crime to come forward after more than 50 allotment sheds were broken into.

Officers would also like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who may have information after the break-ins at allotments near Woodlands Road, Gillingham.

The brick sheds all had metal doors with key locks which have been forced open and each door will cost about £200 to repair.

The site, which has several entrances in Hazlemere Drive and Thirlmere Close, is used by members of the Gillingham Horticultural Society.

Tools and equipment were stolen and wheelbarrows at the allotment were used to carry them to a fence backing onto Bayeux Gardens. The break-ins happened between 5pm last Friday and 6.20pm on Saturday.
