M2 shut between Chatham and Gillingham following police-led incident

The M2 was shut following a “police-led incident”.
Traffic travelling in both directions between Junction 3 for Chatham and Rochester and Junction 4 for Gillingham was brought to a standstill shortly after 7pm on Sunday, March 17.
A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 6.31pm on Sunday to concerns for the welfare of a person near the M2 in the Walderslade area.
“Officers attended the scene and the person was later passed into the care of health professionals.”
