A Medway MP has completed his 11th half marathon and has raised almost £300 for Medway Hospital Radio.
Gillingham and Rainham Conservative member, Rehman Chishti successfully completed Fosters Law Kent Coastal Half Marathon, in one hour and 34 minutes.
The feat was achieved last Sunday and Mr Chishti has so far raised £265 for the hospital radio station, which has been operating for more than 40 years and relies on the generosity of donations to keep it going 24-hours a day.
He will hand over the money he has raised at the stations forthcoming quiz night being held in October.
Mr Chishti has previously supported other Medway charities by running marathons and has raised funds for Gillingham Hands, Age Concern Medway and Take Heart Mercy Mission, a charity supported by Gillingham Football Club.
He said: “Thank you to everyone that’s generously donated funds for Medway Hospital Radio, a charity which offers round the clock programming, helping to support patients at our local hospital during their stay.
“It was a real privilege to support this charity by running my 11th half marathon challenge.”
