A mum of two from Chatham says she's unlikely to shop at Sainsbury's again after discovering a huge worm in packet of mini ribs.
Zoe Connell, 25, bought the ribs from Sainsbury's in Chatham on Monday for her sons' dinner - but was shocked when she realised she was about to serve up a four and half inch worm along with the ribs in Chinese style sauce.
"I opened it up after cooking it and there was big long worm," said Zoe, of Meadowband Road. "It didn't look like a normal worm.
"It looked worse than a tape worm - it's probably about four and a half inches long."
After speaking to Sainsbury's she says she was told to refreeze the microwave meal, together with the worm, and return it so that it can be sent away for analysis.
"I felt sick because that was my sons' dinner," she added. "I liked Sainsbury's but not any more. I probably won't go in there again.
"I spent my money there because I thought it was a good product, but it's obviously not.
"It's not acceptable."
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: "Instances like this are extremely rare and our supplier has stringent processes in place. We’ve apologised to Zoe and will investigate further as soon as she brings back the product."
