A single mum who was without hot water for nearly three months has been treated in hospital for pneumonia.
Ellie-Jay Taylor, who has a six-year-old son, was admitted to Medway Maritime Hospital where she was also diagnosed with water on the lung and an infection.
The 24-year-old has been forced to boil water for everyday chores at her flat in Twydall.
After numerous complaints to landlord mhs homes, the part-time carer and her child were eventually moved to temporary accommodation.
The boiler was finally fixed last Friday, but partner Alex Shaw said there was still a problem with the heating.
Company mhs has apologised and said the delay was down to complex issues with the heating system.
Ellie-Jay, of Eastcourt Lane, who spent four days in hospital, is seeking legal advice.
She said: “I was given morphine and codeine and am still on antibiotics. I still feel very weak.”
Mr Shaw, 27, said: “We shall be taking the matter further. This is no way to treat anyone, let alone a single mum.”

The self-employed painter and decorator said Ellie-Jay suffers from bipolar and depression.
He said: “This has caused her a lot of stress.”
Her son Kayhan Ozkaya has been off school sick.
Stephanie Goad, mhs operations director, earlier said: “It’s disappointing and frustrating and we’re sorry this hasn’t been sorted.
"When we heard on Wednesday last week that two of the radiators at Miss Taylor’s property weren’t working we arranged for Liberty Gas to visit the property on Friday with Miss Taylor’s partner.
"Unfortunately he wasn’t in when the engineer turned up."
He added a supervisor would visit to investigate and check the entire heating system.
Ms Goad earlier said: “The delay was due to a complex issue with the heating system at this property and we’re really sorry it took so long to fix it.
"Liberty Gas will talk to the customer about compensation.”
