A documentary looking at the murder of Molly McLaren has been aired tonight.
The episode was part of a series telling the stories of several young women who were killed by their ex-partners who stalked them.
Molly, from Cobham, near Gravesend, was killed by her ex-boyfriend at Chatham Dockside on June 29, 2017.
Molly's parents spoke to KentOnline on the anniversary of her death
He had turned up at the gym she used in Chatham, where she sent worried messages to her friend just minutes before she was stabbed to death.
In February last year he was sentenced to a minimum of 26 years in prison in what the judge described as a "cruel and cowardly act".
Co-founder of The Molly McLaren Foundation and the 23-year-old's best friend, Amy Lee, took part in the documentary on behalf of the McLaren family.
She said: "We decided to take part in the documentary in the hope that we could raise better awareness of cyber stalking and to highlight the dangers associated with it.
"With the rapid growth of technology there are some serious legislation changes that are needed to keep people safe and we hope that by highlighting those very dangers, that we can encourage more people to support them."
After her death, Amy set up the foundation with Molly's parents, Jo and Doug, her brother Tom and family friend Theo.
Stalked: Murder in Slow Motion will air on Channel 5 at 10pm.
