A number of dropped and seemly lost phones have been revealed after the tide went out next to a local pub.
The image of the surprising find was taken by the River Medway at The Command House in Dock Road, Chatham.
A post on Facebook said: “Spot how many drowned phones in one shot at The Command House, Chatham. Tides out...phones galore.”
The bemused onlooker captured the photo on Friday, May 26, during their lunch break.
“I walk past it every morning,” they added.
“I'm guessing the tide is out at 8am, comes in and then is out again by lunchtime, as I was sitting on the wall and happened to notice them.”
There was a lot of speculation on how the devices ended up at the bottom of the murky waters in the first place.
Some people said how it might have been caused by a few drunken punters, while others noticed that several of the phones looked very similar.
One commented: “All looks like the same model, could be replacement/old screens only, for an old iPhone model and they were dumped rather than recycled.”
Another said: “Shame they aren’t old style Nokia’s – they’d still work and have a full charge!”
