Chatham's new boss Paul Foley this week confirmed his backroom team at Maidstone Road.
Former England semi-professional international and Maidstone United defender Mark Newson, Foley’s assistant at VCD, joins him, together with goalkeeping coach Barry Bell, back for a second spell at Chats, and physio Phil Jeffs.
Former Bromley and Cray Wanderers defender Andy Silk won’t be making the switch due to work commitments.
Foley (pictured) said: "Andy was superb for us at VCD over the last two seasons and will be sorely missed."
One-time VCD player Kevin Watson has been appointed player-coach.
The former Folkestone and Welling United defender is a UEFA A badge and FA qualified coach
The new backroom team will meet the Chatham players this weekend, with Foley close to announcing his first signings.
Goalkeeper Richard Stroud and midfielder Jimmy Lyons have already left and joined Kent League side Erith and Belvedere.
