A group of Medway schools and childminders have been labelled outstanding by Ofsted.
The Government watchdog released its annual report which lists the best education providers in Medway and Kent.
Among them are four childminders, three pre-schools, one infant school and three secondary schools in the Towns.
Bligh Sure Start Children’s Centre, Hundred of Hoo Day Nursery and Rainbow Pre-School and its out-of-school club have all been praised for their work as has Twydall Infant School.
The secondary schools named in the report are Fort Pitt Grammar School, Rochester Math School and The Rochester Grammar School.
Denise Shepherd, head teacher at Rochester Grammar (pictured following her school's Ofsted report), said: “We are delighted with the outcome of the Ofsted report and the outstanding judgement given to the school.
“It is a testament to the hard work, dedication and ambition of all members of the school to consistently deliver the highest standards in education for every child.”
Ofsted’s chief inspector of education, children’s services and skills, Christine Gilbert, said: “I would like to congratulate all who contributed to the success of outstanding provision across all areas of education, training and children’s social care.
“This is good news, not just for the providers but for the children, young people and learners who benefit from such excellent services.”
