Police helicopter spotted over Station Road, Rainham hunting for a man holding a firearm

A police helicopter and patrol cars were out last night hunting a man suspected of having a gun.
Officers have seized multiple paintball guns in connection with the incident.
Police were called to Warlingham Close, Rainham at around 9.45pm yesterday .
Patrol cars and a helicopter circled the town after it was reported a man in a vehicle was seen in possession of a weapon.
At 12.35am today police descended on Station Road, Rainham and arrested a man in connection to the incident.
The 26-year-old was taken into police in custody on suspicion of a firearms offence.
Police spokesman James Walker said: "A number of paintball guns have been seized as part of the investigation."
Owning a paintball gun is legal in the UK and owners do not need a licence to have one.
The 26-year-old has since been released without charge and his two paintball guns have been returned to him.
