This year’s panto star and former X Factor finalist Stevi Richie has entered the Big Brother House with his new fiancée Chloe Jazmine who was also star on the talent show.
The couple, who have enjoyed whirlwind romance since finding fame on the hit show, got engaged last month.
Stevi, 35, is staring in this year’s annual festive panto Beauty and the Beast at the Central Theatre, in Chatham and will be performing alongside Sue Holderness, best known for playing Marlene in Only Fools and Horses, who will be take on the role of Wicked Malevolent.
The pair, pictured here, are putting their budding romance to the ultimate test by entering the celebrity Big Brother house together and are among 12 contestants who moved into the complex last night (Thursday), which this year features a UK versus USA theme.
The outlandish patriotic couple pair went all out for their big night, strutting into the Borehamwood house in Union Jack outfits.
Chloe chose to wear a strapless sparkly dress with a full skirt, teamed with coordinating platform heels and a glittering headband while her partner equally dazzled the audience in a red, white and blue blazer teamed with white trousers and Union Jack brogues.
Stevi won the hearts of the British public and judges alike when he appeared on the show last year.
His first audition saw him singing Olly Murs’ Dance with Me Tonight which had all four judges, including the usually stony-faced Simon Cowell, in hysterics.
And despite forgetting some of the words, Stevi managed to get a resounding ‘yes’ from all four judges.
Having originally not made it through boot camp, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini brought him back as the over-25s wildcard and from then on viewers fell in love with him and kept him in the show as he belted out hit after hit including Bohemian Rhapsody, the Phantom of the Opera and Elton John’s I’m Still Standing.
He eventually left the show in sixth place before embarking on the talent show’s national tour with seven of the other finalists.
This saw Stevi playing arenas throughout the UK culminating in a gig at London’s O2 Arena in March.
In the Central Theatre panto, he will be playing the role of Potty Pierre, pot washer to the palace, and promises his crazy antics will have audiences rolling in the aisles.
He may even revive one of his X Factor numbers to get audiences dancing.
The couple first enjoyed a fling during their time on X Factor and eventually began dating again in December before confirming they were together in April this year.
It was only recently they confirmed their engagement, with the couple admitting their decision to star on the Channel 5 reality show could ‘make or break’ their relationship.
Speaking previously about going into the celebrity house, Chloe, 25, said: “I was really surprised when Stevi wanted to go in as a couple.
“He is literally the most important person in my life and love and adore him and it is a massive time in a relationship to go on TV.
“You have to be really sure in who you are as people and in the relationship. So for both of us to make that commitment is a big decision. We are really excited but really scared.’
“It could make or break us,” added Stevi.
“That is the thing. It is a chance and some risks are worth taking. It could make or break, who knows,” he added.
The couple who seemed to be really affectionate during the launch show, have previously appeared in ITV show This Morning to prove their romance was not a showmance and said they plant to be as normal as possible on the show.
The couple joined eleven other housemates from the UK and the US, including Gail Porter, Jenna Jameson, Tila Tequila, Loose Women’s Sherrie Hewson and former Atomic Kitten Natasha Hamilton.
Beauty and the Beast is at the Central Theatre, Chatham from December 10 to January 3, tickets are available on 01634 338338 or online at www.medwayticketslive.co.uk
