New mums and dads are being told to make the most of their shared parental leave.

The government is encouraging parents to use the time they are entitled to up until their baby's first birthday, as figures show as little as 2% of the 300,000 couples eligible each year do so.

People in Chatham have been asked who they think should take time off when a baby is born.
