Parking charges have been extended to 1am, that is three hours longer than the original cut off at 10 pm.
All council owned car parks across Medway were hit with the longer fares on Monday, June, 9.
Simon Swift, head of highways and parking at Medway Council, said: "We anticipate that the majority of residents will not be affected by the change.
“Extending car parking charges until 1am will help to ensure that there is adequate parking available for residents and visitors who wish to enjoy what Medway has to offer throughout the whole evening.
“Our pay and display parking charges are still amongst the cheapest in the county and motorists can pay to park by phone and online through RingGo.”
