Chatham: Several passengers injured after bus crashes into building

Passengers were injured after an Arriva bus crashed into a building in Chatham town centre on Saturday.
The 177 bus smashed into a wall of the Armed Forces Careers Office in Dock Road at about 4.45pm.
Witnesses say there were several people on board the single decker at the time, including some children.
Police said said the road near the Waterfront Bus Station remained open.
Oliver Monahan, managing director for Arriva Kent and Surrey, said “In the early evening of Saturday, an Arriva bus collided with a building whilst leaving Chatham bus station.
"There were no serious injuries, but some minor injuries reported.
"Arriva continues to cooperate with the police on this matter.
"Our thoughts are with those injured and we would like to express our thanks to the emergency services and the Arriva first responders who attended the incident.”
