Chatham boss Paul Foley says injuries and suspensions are continuing to hamper the club’s progress.

Player-coach Kevin Watson misses the Ryman League Division 1 South trip to Godalming tomorrow (Saturday) due to a three-match ban but goalkeeper James Tedder (ankle) and Nick Hegley (hamstring) are both expected to recover.

Foley, pictured, said: "We have suffered a fair amount of disruption which has affected our rhythm but need to work through it and get some consistency in our performances."

Kevin Winchcombe and Ryan Laker are both available for the trip to Godalming, a club under new management after Neil Baker and Jon Underwood took charge.

However, they suffered a baptism of fire losing their opening two matches 4-0 against Dulwich and 8-1 to leaders Met Police, before winning 2-1 in the FA Trophy at Chipstead.

Foley said: "Our Trophy performance (in the 2-1 defeat) against Redbridge on Saturday was much improved and I will be looking for the same work rate and endeavour at Godalming.

"We might also finally have a bit of good fortune, as we hit the bar had a blatant penalty turned down and were up against a goalkeeper in fine form."

Chatham’s home game against Sittingbourne has been brought forward to Saturday week, following both clubs’ early FA Trophy exit. It was due to be played next month.
