Pensioner found dead at home in Richmond Road, Gillingham, lay undiscovered for weeks

A pensioner who was found dead in his home on Wednesday could have been lying undiscovered for several weeks.
The elderly man, who has not been named, was discovered dead in his home in Richmond Road, Gillingham, during the afternoon.
Police were called out to his address at about 2.30pm after concerns were raised for the his welfare.
It is understood the pensioner had died several weeks ago.
A neighbour, who does not want to be named, said: "He was very elderly and I think he could have just been left there for ages, I'm worried it was months."
"I feel so bad, I used to see nurses going in to look after, he was just completely forgotten about.
"I saw police and men in white jackets taking him away."
James Walker spokesman for the police said: "At around 2.30pm Kent Police attended an address after receiving a concern for welfare report.
"A man was subsequently found deceased by officers.
"The circumstances are not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner."
