Services cancelled between Rochester and Swanley after person hit by train

A person has died after being hit by a train.
British Transport Police were called to Meopham railway station at 6.16am this morning following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Paramedics also attended but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Services between Rochester and Swanley are currently closed as emergency services deal with the incident.
There are no trains running on the Sole Street line with services cancelled, delayed or diverted via Dartford.
This is expected to continue until 10am.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
