Police investigate reported burglary at Esso petrol station, Walderslade.

Police are currently at a petrol station in Walderslade after reports of a burglary.

Officers were called to the Esso garage in Walderslade Road in the early hours of this morning.

A woman, who did not wish to be named, said she saw a police car parked outside and an area cordoned off, as she drove past this morning.

A police spokesman said: “Police was called at 3.24am on Thursday, August 31 to a report of a burglary at a business in Walderslade Road, Chatham.

“Officers are currently at the scene. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.

“Officers are keen to speak to anyone with information about the incident.”

Witnesses are asked to call the appeal line on 01634 792209 quoting reference number 31-0117.

The business is still open and services are running as normal.
