A bereaved mother is desperate for the return of a phone containing the only pictures of her stillborn baby.
Charlotte Wren was devastated when she discovered her phone was missing. It contained the only photos she owned of her son Simon.
Police are now investigating a report of a burglary in Brompton Hill, Chatham, at 6.26pm on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old said: "The photos were of him passed, they aren't exactly something other people are going to want to look at. But they're precious to me. They're all I have of him."
Simon was a twin and his brother Drew, now three, survived. He now goes to Poppins Pre-School and Nursery in Sally Port Gardens, Brompton, with elder sister Jennifer, four.
The black iPhone 5S had been left on a ledge by the front door. There were no obvious signs of a break-in.
Miss Wren said: "Unless somebody came in quietly while I was upstairs, they must have taken a chance when I took the rubbish out and left the door open for a minute."
The photos failed to back-up to the online storage system, iCloud, so cannot be accessed on other devices.
The phone was in a purple and pink silicone butterfly case with a screensaver picture of Drew and Jennifer.
Police have the serial number of the phone so second-hand shops can be alerted to look out for it.
A police spokesman said: "Inquiries are ongoing."
