A developer wants to build a fast food drive-thru and supermarket as part of a £6 million investment in a retail park.
Royal London Mutual Insurance Society (Royal London) wants to open a KFC drive-thru and Aldi supermarket at Horsted Retail Park, Chatham.
If given the go ahead the proposal would create around 100 jobs.
Toys R Us would also be refurbished as part of the proposals.
Royal London’s senior asset manager, Yasin Sadiq, said: “Our plans provide an important opportunity to deliver a much-needed boost to the local economy.
“If given the go-ahead, the development would deliver up to 100 jobs and significant investment for the area in excess of £6 million.
He added: “We want to hear from the local community before we finalise our planning application. We will be displaying our plans at a public exhibition where our project team will be on hand to answer questions and listen to feedback on what we have done so far.”
Residents have been invited to view the plans and provide feedback at a public exhibition at the Bridgewood Manor Hotel, Walderslade Woods, on Thursday, July 20, from 3-7pm.
