Man arrested in Hoath Way, Gillingham, on suspicion of fraud and possessing drugs

A man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs and an allegation of fraud in Maidstone after he was pulled over by police in Gillingham.
The 37-year-old, who has not been named, was stopped by the force’s road police unit in Hoath Way, earlier this morning.
The man, of no fixed address, was stopped by officers at about 11am and is currently in custody.
A spokesman for police said: “A 37 year-old man was arrested this morning in Hoath Way, Gillingham, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
“He was also arrested in connection with an allegation of fraud in Maidstone, reported to have taken place on 3 February. He remains in custody."
