Police chased a suspect after a motorbike was abandoned following a pursuit.

Officers followed the motorcyclist after spotting two suspicious vehicles while on patrol in the Medway area.

One of the drivers made off from police and was chased through Chatham.

The driver then abandoned his bike and tried to flee on foot.

But he was apprehended by one of the officers from the Roads Policing Unit.

A tweet from @KentPoliceRoads said: "#TPAC [Tactical Pursuit And Containment] officers in Kent are trained in motorcycle pursuit, actions have consequences."
