Police search for missing Rainham man and Invicta Dynamos 'legend' Andy Smith

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing man who has been described as a "legend" for Gillingham-based ice hockey club Invicta Dynamos.

Andy Smith, 34, from Rainham, was last seen on Friday morning.

Officers are urging anyone with information of his whereabouts to contact them.

Andy is white, 5ft 7in and of medium build. He is bald, with short dark hair to sides and was last seen with stubble around his chin.

He was wearing a faded blue top with small white writing, along with blue baggy shorts with the Invicta Dynamo logo and white number 26.

Andy was also wearing beige work boots and a baseball cap with the words Invicta Mustangs.

Police spokesman Andy Saunders added: "Officers are growing increasingly concerned for Andy's welfare and are urging anyone who may have seen him to call 101 quoting reference 08-0570."

Invicta Dynamos also appealed for help via the club's Twitter account.
