Police find reported stolen car within 10 minutes in New Road, Chatham, after it was taken from Bryant Street

Police say they have arrested a man and located a car which was reported stolen within 10 minutes of it being reported.
Officers from the Medway community policing team located the sliver Toyota Avensis, in New Road, Chatham, close to its junction with New Cut.
It was reported stolen at 12.07pm, from Bryant Street, in the town.
Officers then pulled over the Toyota at 12.15pm and arrested a 26-year-old Chatham man on suspicion of theft from a vehicle as well as driving while unfit through drugs.
He was taken into custody and inquiries are ongoing and the car has been returned to its owner undamaged.
