Police helicopter searching Chatham after driver of Land Rover Freelander crash on Chalkpit Hill fled scene

A driver is being hunted by police after reportedly fleeing the scene of a crash.
The police helicopter was also launched to help officers searching in Chatham following the incident last night.
Officers were called at 8.35pm to Chalkpit Hill in the town after reports a Land Rover Freeland had been crashed.
It was also reported the driver had run off and a search of the area was started.
But police were unable to track down the suspect.
A spokesman said inquiries are ongoing today in a bid to locate him.
