Appeal after home burgled in City Way, Rochester

A woman's house was burgled minutes after a man knocked on her door offering her a "jet wash".

The man knocked on the door of the house in City Way at around 3.10pm on Wednesday and asked the woman if she wanted 'jet washing'.

The woman said no and left the house shortly afterwards in her car.

When she came back, at around 3.35pm, the same was was spotted running away from her home.

The home was then found to have been burgled and a quantity of cash and jewellery was stolen.

Officers have conducted a number of inquiries into the circumstances and it is believed that four white men, aged between 25 and 35, were seen in the area at the time and are reported to have left the area in a Blue Volkswagen Passat.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who believes they have information that could be related to this incident.
