Police are looking for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in a street this morning.

A woman was attacked by a man and woman in Luton Road, Chatham at 8.27am this morning.

The attackers then left the scene in a blue Nissan Micra.

People on the scene described how they saw the woman abandoned and bleeding in the street.

She had a serious head injury, was taken to a London hospital for treatment.

Forensics officers have also been searching a block of flats.
