Police are investigating two suspicious incidents after children reported being followed and approached by a stranger.
A man on a bicycle is first said to have followed a boy as he walked to and from a shop in Palmerston Road, Chatham, on Saturday, June 1.
The youngster did not know the rider and told his parents when he got home, who then called the police.
Officers were then contacted again on Thursday, June 13, after a mum and her child said they were approached by a stranger, near the junction of Symons Avenue and Redvers Road.
The man then ran from the scene towards White Road and Glencoe Road.
In both incidents, the suspect is described as being black, clean-shaven, around 5ft 11in, slim and wearing a green and blue football shirt.
In one report, he was also said to be wearing black jogging bottoms and black slider-styled shoes.
An investigation is underway, and officers would like to speak to the man involved.
They are urging anyone with information to call 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/98345/24.
