Kent Police probe into robbery in Sturdee Avenue, Gillingham

Police have released a description of a suspect after a woman was injured in an attempted robbery.
Officers were called to Sturdee Avenue, Gillingham, on Monday morning.
A man tried to grab a woman's handbag as she walked along the road at about 6.15am.
The victim fell to the ground and suffered minor injuries.
The would-be robber left empty handed and fled towards towards Toronto Road.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged between 20 and 40, 5ft 9in tall, of slight build, short brown hair and was wearing a patterned scarf covering his mouth.
The area was taped off for several hours by police and forensic officers were at the scene.
