A top Tory councillor has been reported to police after a furious school-run argument.
A mother alleges Rochester member Stuart Tranter angrily approached her while she sat in her car.
She also says the incident happened as other parents and members of the public looked on.
The Conservative admits there was an argument outside the Town's prestigious King's School and even reported the matter to police himself.
The mum-of-two, who has asked to remain anonymous, says the trouble started when she parked in Boley Hill at around 3.30pm on Tuesday.
A man she later learnt was Cllr Tranter approached and started "confronting" her as she waited in her BMW X7.
The Rochester resident says the incident soon escalated.
She said: "I still don’t know why he did it. He jumped in front of my car. He was shouting a lot of abuse. I was parking in a legitimate space directly outside the school as I had to collect my daughter.
"When he jumped in front of my car, I pressed my horn down for ages so he moved.
"I was getting late to collect my six-year-old daughter, I got out and he said disgusting things to me."
She said she had reported the incident to the police and Medway Council.
Responding to KentOnline queries about the matter, Cllr Tranter said the car was causing chaos because it was parked in the middle of the road.
He explained he was walking with his wife Sarah when he noticed the BMW in the middle of the road "causing chaos".
He says he told the driver "you need to move on" as traffic was apparently mounting in the area.
He said: "At that time my priority was the safety and danger it was causing to children coming out of a busy school, pedestrians and the gridlock it was causing. It was chaos. I was deeply upset this person was causing so much danger."
At this stage he had no idea the driver was a man or woman because of tinted windows and only saw her when she got out of the vehicle.
He added: "I don't even swear. My objective as a councillor has always been the safety of the community."
"I don't even swear. My objective as a councillor has always been the safety of the community..."
After the altercation, he returned to his nearby home with Sarah, who is chairman of Rochester City Centre Forum, and that's when he reported the incident to police.
The force has confirmed it is looking into the matter and that no arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing.
It is understood Medway Council, on which Cllr Tranter represents Rochester West ward, has acknowledged the complaint.
