Arrest after police chase from Chatham to Greenhithe

A man has been arrested after a 13-mile police chase.
Shortly before 1.10am yesterday officers attempted to stop a car in Chatham, near the Medway Tunnel.
The vehicle did not stop and was pursued to the London Road area of Greenhithe where it was lost.
Officers carried out a search and found the car abandoned in nearby Hayes Road.
A man from Greenhithe was later arrested. He was a passenger in another car that was stopped by police.
The 31-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, possession of herbal cannabis and possession with intent to supply cannabis.
He has been released on bail pending further enquiries until March 28.
