A police officer was bitten twice and the suspect sprayed in the eyes.
British Transport Police (BTP) were called to Strood last night where they stopped and searched a man acting suspiciously.
The suspect allegedly resisted and bit one officer twice on the arm.
Officers then used captor spray – which is similar to pepper spray – to subdue the man.
According to a tweet issued by the transport police force he was then arrested on suspicion of an assault on an emergency worker.
