A power failure at a railway station has led to commuter chaos.
The electricity supply at Strood station failed at about 5am, causing major delays to all services via the Medway Towns and Medway Valley.
Replacement buses are now calling at all stations between Strood and Maidstone West.
Trains are running normally to Victoria on the Sole Street line and passengers have been advised they can use their ticket at no extra cost on the London Underground to reach other terminal stations.
Tickets can also be used at no extra charge on the Arriva 90 bus route between Gravesend and Chatham and the FastTrack bus route B between Ebbsfleet and Gravesend Thameslink services via any reasonable route.
Trains will run between Maidstone West and Paddock Wood and only high-speed trains via Faversham and Gravesend will be altered or cancelled.
