A prolific shoplifter who stole items including meat, razor blades, perfume and whiskey during a five month spree has been jailed.
Lee Robinson of Wyatt Place, Strood, was sent to prison for 240 days after pleading guilty to 12 counts of shoplifting and one count of failing to surrender to court bail.
The 35-year-old's biggest haul was £612.79 worth of cosmetics taken from a shop in The Pentagon Shopping Centre, Chatham, on July 13.
Just three days earlier he had stolen cosmetics with a combined value of £400 from the same store.
His shoplifting spree began on March 8, when he stole meat worth £50.62 from Aldi in Friary Place, Strood.
On March 31 he stole £90 worth of bedding from a shop in Gillingham High Street and on April 25 he stole household items worth £43.66 from a shop in Snodland High Street.
Robinson stole razor blades worth £19.98 from a shop in Gillingham High Street on May 8 and two days later pinched perfume worth £62 from a shop in Sittingbourne High Street.
On May 18 he again took razor blades worth £19.98 from a shop in Gillingham High Street, and on May 20, pinched £14 of whiskey from another shop on the high street.
The spree continued - on June 2 he swiped £62 of perfume from a shop in Sittingbourne High Street and 12 days later stole face cream worth £12.99 from another shop on the high street.
He took £60 worth of face cream from a shop in Strood High Street on July 3.
Medway Magistrates sentenced Robinson to 240 days in prison. He must also pay £662 compensation, a £100 fine and a £180 court costs.
