Strood thief, Kellie Hiscock, of Bligh Way, Strood, ordered to carry out unpaid work after another shoplifting spree

A prolific thief has been given a suspended sentence and ordered to carry out unpaid work after going out shoplifting again.

Kellie Hiscock, 38, has a string of previous convictions for theft and has been jailed on many occasions for stealing from shops.

She recently appeared before magistrates in Medway where she admitted another five counts of shoplifting.

The court heard how Hiscock, Bligh Way, Strood, stole £30 of cosmetics from a shop in High Street, Snodland, and then stole £115 of cosmetics and food worth from a shop in Main Road, Hoo.

The bench were also told on another occasion she stole multiple items of an unknown value from a shop in Commercial Road, Strood and stole another load of items from a shop in High Street, Cranbrook.

The final offence she admitted to was stealing £411.69 of items from a chemist in Station Road, Longfield.

Magistrates jailed Hiscock for 84 days but suspended the term for 12 months.

She was also ordered to carry 100 hours of unpaid work and pay £180 costs.
