A search has been called off after emergency services scoured a river last night.
Police, the RNLI, the coastguard and fire service combed the River Medway between Peter's Bridge, Halling, and the M2 Motorway bridge, Borstal, yesterday evening.
This came after officers received a report of a possible sighting of person in the water between Halling and Wouldham at 3.40pm.
The search continued until 7pm, with a dinghy on the river and drones monitoring from above.
This morning police and the coastguard have confirmed nothing was found.
Police say if new information comes to light then they will reopen the investigation.
