Two adults and two children were saved from a stranded boat on the River Medway last night.
Volunteers of the Sheerness RNLI inshore lifeboat Buster were sent out at 7.20pm by the UK Coastguard to reports of a boat with four people on which had mechanical issues.
They were called to the Kingsnorth Jetty area of the River Medway and arrived within 15 minutes, where they found two adults and two children onboard.
The vessel was towed to the Strand at Gillingham and secured on a mooring due to lack of water.
Both adults and children were transported to the shore by the crew in two trips.
The RNLI confirmed all Covid-19 protocols were carried out in accordance with their guidelines.
Earlier this week the Sheerness RNLI lifeboat was called out to rescue people from a sinking boat.
