Canterbury Street, Gillingham, closed after police and ambulance crews attend medical incident

A road was closed this morning after police and ambulance crews responded to reports of a medical incident.
Officers were called just before 8.40am to Canterbury Street in Gillingham.
Police assisted South East Coast Ambulance Service and members of the public reported seeing someone taken into an ambulance.
The road has now reopened.
South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman, Rich Airey said: "We were called to reports of a person that had collapsed in Canterbury Street at 8.30am.
"Ambulance crews attended the scene and the person was treated before being taken to Medway Maritime Hospital in a serious condition."
