A shopping centre says a water mains leak has seen a road closed.
The stretch leading out of Hempstead Valley by the petrol station has been shut while the problem is dealt with.
Bosses at the centre, which is near Gillingham, say engineers are there to locate the leak and make repairs.
However, these will also be needed to the road and it is unlikely it will be open for the rest of today and tomorrow.
Signs have been put up directing customers out of the centre near the multi-storey car park.
Buses and coaches are running as scheduled.
