Road collision in Chatham

Traffic is being diverted around the Pentagon Shopping Centre after a crash in Chatham.

Police said The Brook was reopened at 3.25pm although witnesses said diversions were still in place at that time.

According to reports the incident, which occurred about 2.10pm, was not serious although fire crews and an ambulance were at the scene.

One driver was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital as a precaution.

The road had been closed around Whiffens Avenue from 2.30pm following the smash involving a Citroen and a Ford.
