A signalling problem caused disruption to trains travelling through London Bridge.
Some journeys were cancelled or delayed by up to 45 minutes and the disruption was expected until at least 7pm.
Network Rail engineers were called in to fix the problem.
The 4.35pm to Ramsgate, 5.07pm Dover Priory, 5.30pm and 5.52pm to Broadstairs and the 6.11pm and 6.43pm to Ramsgate will all start at London Blackfriars instead of Cannon Street.
Some services are terminated at Tonbridge and others were diverted to London Victoria to reduce delays.
There was also a fault with the signalling system at Rochester which has since been fixed.
