Michael Ward of Gordon Junior School, Strood, died over the weekend and head teacher pays tribute

Junior school teachers and pupils are in mourning today after a nine-year-old boy died over the weekend.
Michael Ward was just nine years old.
Today the executive head teacher of Gordon Junior School in Stood paid tribute to the Year 4 pupil.
Lesley Jones said: "Michael was a valued member of our family here at Gordon and will be very sadly missed.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
"His class are planning a memorial garden, to be called Michael's Garden, in the spring."
The other children were told about the tragedy on Monday and said to be very upset and shaken by the news.
It is not known why Michael passed away.
