The search for a man reported missing nearly three months ago has been renewed after the discovery of his wallet.

Liam Graham was last seen holding his head and shouting for help in a video taken in the early hours of Saturday, July 22, in Stoke Road, between Lower Stoke and Hoo.

The police search for Liam has covered a large part of the Hoo Peninsula and involved specialist officers from the force’s Search and Marine Unit.

These searches lasted 10 days and covered two miles on land and in the air through the use of drones, the police helicopter and the dog unit.

Officers also reviewed CCTV and completed house-to-house inquiries.

As part of the three-month anniversary on Sunday, October 22, and to allow for what a police statement described as “seasonal changes in the landscape”, renewed searches were planned for later in the month.

However, on Saturday, October 7, a wallet belonging to Liam was found on farmland.

As a result, the planned renewed searches were brought forward and started yesterday (Wednesday, October 11).

Today, police officers were seen scouring farmland off Stoke Road, as well as the railway line near Damhead Creek.

In a statement issued to KentOnline at the beginning of August, Liam’s mother Joanne, sister Holly, and brother Christian promised the 22-year-old they would continue their search until he is back home.

“Words cannot describe the heartbreak our whole family is going through at this moment in time and it is getting harder as time goes on,” they said.

“All we want is for our Liam to be home safe and well.”

Speaking directly to their brother and son, they said: “You are loved by all of us and we promise that we will not stop searching for you Liam, and we will not give up until you are home with us again.”

Liam's sister Holly has revealed the family's frustration after her brother's wallet was found close to where he was last seen.

Today she said: "It's hit us hard recently with all that has been going on.

"People let us know on our social media page about any sightings and if it is somewhere we can get to we always go and check it out. But the police are better equipped than us to look so it's always best to tell them straight away."

Liam is described as white and of a medium build, with short hair and a short beard. He was last seen wearing dark shorts and a dark, long-sleeved top.

Investigating officers are renewing their appeal for new information, sightings, or people to come forward with any details they have not previously shared.

Chief inspector Trevor Jenner, district commander for Medway, said: “Despite our extensive searches and enquiries we have not located Liam.

“We are committed to supporting his family and will continue to explore any new information we receive. We continue to request public support in locating Liam.”
