Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre has finally confirmed which fashion retailer is moving in, after months of speculation.
Centre bosses announced this week TKMaxx would be taking over part of its new extension, along with New Look.
The discount chain which sells brand-name clothes, shoes and accessories as well as homeware, will open next month. Signage has now gone up outside and job vacancies are being advertised.
The shopping centre teased the announcement on Monday this week, first posting a picture of the store without the sign on the side.
This was followed by another picture posted online the following day, which showed the TKMaxx logo had been added to the building.
Meanwhile, BHS, which occupied one of largest units at the centre, closed on Saturday following the retailer’s collapse.
The empty premises, which is now in the hands of administrators, has already attracted interest from other chains.
Centre manager Mark Rumfitt said: “We have continued enhancing the offer at the centre and we are delighted to finally confirm that TK Maxx will be opening at Hempstead Valley next month.
“New Look will be relocating into this new development and will trade from a larger unit.”
